Premiere PD for Early Career Professionals 

The third year of our institute for early career and aspiring technology directors is well underway.  Applications for the 2019-2020 cohort are now open.

Experience a year-long cohort of professional growth designed to prepare individuals to direct an independent school technology program. During this one-year institute, participants will

  • Build technology leadership skills via an intentional, differentiated curriculum;
  • Learn the role technology plays in leading an independent school;
  • Be taught and mentored by practicing technology directors and former technology directors at the forefront of their profession;
  • Build a network of amazing colleagues;
  • Meet face-to-face at two conferences and in a Summer Residential Program;
  • Create a portfolio of monthly assignments and earn badges in an online learning environment;
  • Work closely with a mentor at another independent school;
  • Become knowledgeable of how technology intersects every aspect of leadership at an independent school.

Apply if you...

  • Have led IT or edtech technology at an independent school OR have contributed to the technology team and are interested in professional growth and advancement;
  • Have secured the support of your Head of School and current supervisor (including financial support);
  • Can commit to completing all the components of the program, including attending all face-to-face sessions.

Program Details

Blue Ridge School, Virginia
  • April 14, 2019 Full-Day Kick-Off Workshop at the ATLIS Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas;
  • June 17-21, 2019 5-Day Residential Program at Blue Ridge School, near Charlottesville, Virginia;
  • April 2020 Full-Day Concluding Workshop at the ATLIS conference, dates and location TBA;
  • Monthly online assignments and meet-ups, along with personalized portfolios and badging, within the ECATD portal;
  • Mentoring by independent school professionals throughout the year.

Tuition includes all programming and course materials, registration fees at two ATLIS conferences, lodging and meals during the Summer Residential Program at Blue Ridge School. Travel not included; lodging for ATLIS conferences not included.
