ATLIS Announces Incoming Chair
Denise Musselwhite steps into Chair-Elect role in July

The Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS), the only professional association for independent school technology directors, announced that Denise Musselwhite has been unanimously named as chair-elect to the ATLIS board of directors, effective July 1, 2021. She is the Chief Information Officer at Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park, Florida.

As chair-elect she will work alongside ATLIS’s current chair, Dawn Klus, until Klus’s term expires in July 2022, at which time Musselwhite will assume the chair position.

“Denise brings impressive skills and expertise both from her tenure with the ATLIS board of directors and her professional life,” said Klus, Accreditation Director for ISACS. “She’s passionate about the ATLIS community, our organization's vision, and strategic goals. We are fortunate she’s stepping into this leadership role to take us confidently into the future.”

Musselwhite is nationally known for outstanding leadership in independent schools.  Over her more than 20 year career, she has been a speaker and consultant in the United States and in Europe.  Most recently, she co-developed a series of cybersecurity workshops to educate independent school leaders and risk managers and is currently serving as ATLIS board secretary. She is an active member of the Florida Executive Women (FEW), serving on the strategic planning, diversity, equity, and inclusion and scholarship committees, and is an engaged volunteer for Shepherd’s Hope, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing acute medical care to individuals suffering without sufficient medical insurance. Musselwhite holds several technical certifications, a bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems and a master’s degree in Leadership.
